Canyonlands National Park
Canyonlands National Park, located near Moab, Utah, offers vistas of the Colorado River Canyon on the east and the Green River Canyon to the west. During the winter, the constantly changing skies, snows of the high desert, and red rock formations provide striking opportunities for photographers.
The Needles district of Canyonlands, located about 40 miles south of Moab, contains prehistoric rock formations that remind visitors of the prehistoric past.
